Also. They have set a date for closed beta testing. This is internal I believe, not an external beta...So I think we'll see GW2 sometime in the Q2 or Q3 of 2012.

i guess if this comes out before Blade and Soul, ima try it out...

Shooting people in the face is all well nd good, but I think i'll post some news about GW2

So just before the holidays, GW2 announced the final class for the game. The Mesmer, some of you who played GW will remember this Character. More information can be found at GuildWars2.com

In other news, more news on beta testing. With the first round of Beta testing complete. ArenaNet has issued a few press releases saying that they would 'like' to see open public beta testing start around March/April. As of February, ArenaNet will be inviting select members of the Journalistic profession to test out the game.

GameSpy reckons the game will be released in June/July. Which is great news means I'll have ME3 and (possibly, if its released in time Diablo 3) finished.

Closed Press Beta has started. You know what this means?

We should be getting good quality gaming reviews coming out in the next few weeks which should give us greater insight into the game. After CPB is done, then its only a few short months wait to Open Beta and the release of GW2!!!!

Also pretty interesting interview over at GuildWarsInsider.com which was posted last month on PvP in Guild Wars 2.

OH ME OH MY....What a week it has been for news on Guild Wars 2. Mostly because we actually have Journalistic reviews being posted from the Journalist Beta phase that is currently taking place in the realm of Tyria!

Over at IGN they have said that "There's so much to Guild Wars 2 – from huge-scale world versus world capture point contests that provide global bonuses to all on a server, even those not participating, to smaller PvP arenas to stylish main storyline quests complete with character interaction and voiced dialogue to structured dungeon encounters – that it's difficult to be anything but giddy about the game's potential. Guild Wars 2 doesn't have a release date yet, but should be available some time in 2012, and could very easily wind up being one of the best games of the year."

Kotaku Australia also has an excellent review calling the combat system 'ridiculously entertaining', but also being quite reflective in saying that ArenaNet still a few things to fine tune "Specifically they need to iron out the game’s performance issues. I played on both my powerful desktop PC and a capable gaming laptop, both of which struggled with the game on anything other higher than the lowest graphics settings. Cranking up the quality resulted in horrid frame rates, and massive world versus world battles between dozens of characters caused both systems to slow to a crawl. ArenaNet just needs to fine tune game’s engine, finding the right balance between beauty and playability."
